They have already had a branding material repository, but it is not only for the Genesis team and their partners confused to search the branding guidelines and Genesis Branding materials.
Also, the UX/UI and system are not fit the state-of-the-art web technology and trend.
The client experienced that the old communication system did not prevent miscommunication with their partners. For example, the partners sometimes made incorrect branding materials which the brand team did not want.
It often created conflicts between them and brought the time loss issue.
The website managers and the employees in Hyundai can control the other user's status on the website.
In the repository, they requested that partners cannot see or download some branding materials because of their embargo status.
The system supports that the partners must not permit and finalise their work without their client's permission.
The sorting options for the list are placed on the left due to comparing the selected options and the search list. The search engine does not support modifying the option lists into checkbox style. Therefore, we created the chip-style option selections at the top of the material list. The users can delete the selected option to click the 'X' button on the chips.
The thumbnail image show differently depending on its embargo status and file type. If the file is the 'ZIP' type, the users can see what files are inside from its detail page before downloading it.
Only Hyundai employees can allow to upload their brand materials in the Asset Library. They can set the embargo status by selecting the Right of Use. From this, only permitted users can see and download the file. The statute can be changed by its owner.
Ticket system has five statuses: on hold, to do, reviewing, resolved, and close. The users can see the list of tickets on the main support page and all ticket list pages. They can check each ticket's status on the list.
Only Hyundai employees can create the ticket, and it requires their permission to change its status on the ticket detail page.
This system prevents the work progresses without the ticket creator's (so-called Ticket owner) permission.
The users must leave comments and upload files to change the status.
This rule reduces the risk of publishing branding materials accidentally.
The ticket system uses for inquiries about creating branding materials and its usage to the website managers. In this case, the file upload is not compulsory to change the status.
Genesis Brand team wanted to create their communication and branding material repository system for better communication with their worldwide partners.
Their request was for use on the permission to progress everything related to making branding materials.
To tackle the need, we designed a new repository system which requires permission to see and download files.
Also, the communication system, which communicates through tickets, reduces the possibility of miscommunication through its permission system.
The system I described above cannot access because it is a back-office page that only permitted users can access.
